AKIMANA Cynthia

Head of Laboratory

AKIMANA Cynthia works as Head of Laboratory at Huye Isange Rehabilitation Center. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Mount Kenya University (2016) and a valid license from the Allied Health Professions Council to practice as a professional laboratory scientist. She has experience from different institutions, including Butare University Teaching Hospital and Nyanza District Hospital, where she worked as a professional volunteer. She has been working at HIRC for five (5) years. Her work involves performing toxicology testing (both qualitative and quantitative), biochemistry, hematology, and parasitology tests. She also coordinates all laboratory activities.
